Sunway Putra Hotel Kuala Lumpur Ramadan Food Preview 2015

This Ramadan, Sunway Putra Hotel Kuala Lumpur will be cooking up a storm by bringing back original kampung fares that are set to delight food lovers. Aptly themed, “Dari Dapur Ummi”, the master chefs of Sunway Putra Hotel Kuala Lumpur led by Executive Chef Rossham Rosli will feature traditional recipes that were lovingly taught by their own mothers.


With over 100 nostalgic buka puasa dishes, guests will be able to relish these dishes at the newly renovated Coffee House situated at Level 9 of the hotel throughout the holy month of Ramadan.


Highlights include different types of mouthwatering kerabu (Malaysian salad) such as Kerabu Kacang Botol Kerisik, Kerabu Ayam Pedas, Kerabu Cekur dan Daging just to name a few.




The buffet will also feature Churrasco Barbecue in Tandoor with a selection of beef, lamb and chicken. In addition, the hotel is offering local favourites such as Daging Rendang Dendeng, Kari Kepala Ikan, Squid Masala, Perut Masak Lemak dan Rebung and Daging Masak Lemak Cili Padi.





Other delights such as Char Kuay Teow, Mee Mamak, ketupat, lemang, Rendang Tok and nasi impit with beef and chicken serunding will also be served. For those who are hankering for something sweeter, traditional delicacies such as Sira Pisang, Pandan Kuih Lapis, Kurma Pudding Gula Hangus, Ubi Kayu Rebus served with Kelapa and Sambal Ikan Bilis accompanied by Teh Tarik are also included in the buffet spread.




Sunway Putra’s Hotel’s “Dari Dapur Ummi” buffet will be available daily from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. from 22nd June to 16th July 2015 at RM 138 nett per person (adult) and RM 69 nett (children between six and twelve-year-old). The hotel is also offering a complimentary pax for every group of ten guests while children below the age of five will get to dine for free. Mothers who are above age of sixty will be able to enjoy a fifty percent discount from the original price.


Apart from the above, CIMB, Ambank, Hong Leong Bank, RHB, BSN and Public Bank credit card holders will receive a 25 percent discount while Maybank card holders will be able to enjoy a premium discount of 33 percent from the original price.

For guests preferring to host their private ‘Buka Puasa’ gathering, the hotel is offering a selection of menu starting with a Muhibbah Set Dinner at RM 1088 nett for a table of eleven while a Mini Buffet Dinner is priced at RM 98 nett per person. A minimum booking of 20 person is advised for the private dinner packages.
